Hate

She insists
that hate only contrives opposites
When it strikes
an intricate other takes over
Creates the requisite her,
and imagines it live

Ethos Arbitrage

Emoted investment
dividends high
Buying then selling
as spirit contrives

Unlimited resource
consciousness fares
In debits and credits
— whose riches ensnare

Bullet Eater

The fearful varmint that claws at your callous origin
Caused a ceaseless chain of nightmares
A simple faux pas contrives a generation of idiocy
The toes of a screaming infant dwindling in our wake
Loyalty had not yet bared a face of existence
Atonement was never a question but a riddle
Heed your forthcoming capers
For they just may deface you

Rutilated Quartz

She lies in slumber pending release, in Gaia’s womb. Case of needles; rutilated quartz, hair of angels contrives balance; administrating pleasure and pain, essence of yin and yang. She blesses her own with self-control, willpower, protection... Mother Nature’s anti-depressant miracle; strength of composition, she is air and fire.

Batman

Wearing a dishtowel around his shoulders as a cape
This gleeful child claiming to be Batman
Jumping off the footstool,
Leaping around the room,
Determined to save the world

Now grown, a world of worries of his own,
The enemy is a mighty foe

A furrow in the brow of youth
A childhood world he must let go

When the world contrives to knock you down,
who will rescue you?

Batman

Wearing a dishtowel around his shoulders as a cape
This gleeful child claiming to be Batman
Jumping off the footstool,
Leaping around the room,
Determined to save the world

Had to grow up
A world of worries of his own,
The enemy is a mighty foe

There's always a furrow in the brow of youth
A childhood world he must let go

When the world contrives to knock you down,
who will come to rescue you?

Souls In the Shadows

as the psychopomps cry
in the night, and we fly
towards a fate most divine,
looking, lost, and dying,
seeking fleeting blessings, crying
for the final slumbers sigh.

as we stir, our soul is sighing,
can't you tell the heart is dying?
mirrored shadows, matching eyes,
windows to the darkest lies.

watching ever in our longing,
mindless masses, always thronging
on the outskirts of our lives,
a twisted fate falsely contrives
and pushes ever on the road
to everlasting solitude.

How Jesus Felt About the People Who Were Gonna Kill Him

This donkey demonstrates my status,
That nothing can be said about us,
I’m yours, like a child you put upon it,
Like a product, you want to buy a bit.

You’re free to lift me up in your lives,
And if you do I’ll ride with no contrives,
My name will mean something right,
And by using it you will have height.

No sour feelings and no bad thoughts,
You’re not visionaries or care robots,
Yours is the present, your responsibility,
Not future times or my future credibility.
