simple touch caresses

In time, the constriction of your love
Presses against my heart and lungs
Life is weak and weary, often teary
Except when it is absent for weeks and spent
A touch or gaze is all I need to amaze
My senses that I am not alone on this journey
Your needs are simply met and mine are too
Can we meet and greet our needs together?
I use to be the people's conscience, sturdy as the grey china wall
But now Im the menacing red constriction of a stop sign
Just a book
I use to set a righteous par so virtuous, pure and white
But now Im dusted,rusted, stories without glories
Just a book
I use to be God's guiding hand blue and gentle
But now it seems Im his oppressive finger pushing down on brown tainted morals

A diamond's lustre, is tarnished with brail
Read her, feel her, tell her tale
Minds are soiled, with countless detail
Souls are battered, entangled and frail
Formed of heart and solid conviction
Entitled by self or less affliction
Nor humbled by any, sense of constriction

Followed again, by numbing noises
Slimming down, to narrow the choices
Never will I learn, what rejoice is
