Now Hear This!
Didactic verse is good for you
No matter what they say.
Constrains your vice till you think twice
Before your morals stray.

It’s literary spinach, yes…
Eat your vegetables in verse:
Avoid all booze, lewd lust refuse
And never ever curse.

A poem must be purposeful
`Else should not exist.
Advise and preach—best bards beseech
Temptations you resist!...

What Could I Be Thinking
I am adventurous in brain
Or am I just insane
To what this all pertains
My mind has no constrains

Sitting deep in thought
For everything I’ve fought
The troubles I have wrought
Can leave me so distraught

What could I be thinking
It set me out to drinking
That just got me stinking
To feel like I was sinking

To see what’s in my mind
Pull away the blind
What you will find]
Is that I am very kind

Well I have no idea
Can I say mama mia
Would not want to be ya
I will just say see ya...
