Precedents Were A Coincidence
So it really could seem to be quite a coincidence,
Relationship between Presidents and precedents;
Ugly Bods,
Are at odds;
Being vehement about constituents and contents.

Shorts, gyms shoes, a sweatshirt with a hoodie
Senator John Fetterman dresses peccably
Yet unafraid to speak his mind, to call 'em as he sees 'em
He serves his constituents most respectably

The debt soars through the ceiling
Future generations we are billing
The politicians are not dealing
With ire there constituents distilling
The stock market is reeling
The financiers are peeling
Credit bureaus are squealing
Our good credit rating milling

Politics in the USA on a downward spiral
Overworked anthems saturated with denial
Contemplating this stalling and lobbying
Makes me wonder why things are happening
All we have left is a vote counted right
Constituents unite to kindle their light
Learn about who is the correct candidate
Those making every choice for each state

Didactic
He said the undiplomatic cost
to all of us freedom celebrators,
to firstborn sons and daughters,
to last born future children,
would be far less
than its liberating value.
Value for and against whom?
Value for and against what healthy purpose?
Value for and against which wealthy constituents?
He couldn't say,
or wouldn't,
or shouldn't
Because he couldn't listen
and wouldn't savor
democratic peace.

Political Verse
The man with launchpad hair glides by
Glowing orange in the mountain view
A red balloon bobbles by his side
The other man holds his diaper high
Blows bubbles and waves a magic wand
Hand in hand both men dance in circles
Skip right off the cliff together
Or is it to the left of heaven
As the media suggested
They kiss the world good-bye
Off to see the wizard and Jesus in the sky
And as many other constituents who can fly

Call yourself obstructionist
Who blocks a popular bill
A Democrat, I think not,
From West Virginia still.
You, the arbiter of right?
Your constituents starving,
Coal companies pay your dues
Pharmacies in your pocket,
Stock is the name of your game.
Publicity you're craving
Run for the presidency!
Observe just how far you get.

Congressional Cacophony
Written: by Tom Wright
8-30-2019
Politicians think they’re “The Cutting Edge,”
Into mere cacophony their words are turning.
“Taken out of context” is their primary hedge,
Believing constituents to not be discerning.
But in the face of truth their word often flies,
Preaching “transparency” as it applies to others.
While unto themselves this seldom applies,
Being equally spread would be my druthers.

The Planting
The fields of America were tilled.
Wolf in farmer's clothing donning
Red hat while
Sharp tongue cut grooves in the
Soil of humanity, violently
Unearthing constituents needed for his success.
White hooded hate and prejudice,
Previously buried by years of reform,
(now nurtured in sunlight and fertile ground),
Take root once again.
Reform meant to propel humanity forward.
Damaged in the time it took to say:
“Build a Wall”

Our world dies when Politicians don't heed the
cries of its constituents,
Their decisons to favor affluence over the plight
of the people, questions their belief in God, and
Houses of worship adorned with steeples,
Our world dies when crime is allowed to
go on incessantly,
When pleasantries and decorum have been left by the
wayside, our world dies,
It become lifeless unable to resuscitate,
Our World dies.....If no one does nothing,
It will be too late.
