She avoids my caress gently
She beckons me Luis come on
You know that me Eva-ever you'res
She is Eva-ever on my mind my one

Swirls and Loops

swirls and loops
cursive beauty
crosses and dots
marks on paper
so much meaning
connotations
inspiration
shaking feelings
story poems
built so slowly
or tossed down fast
reminding us
of the power
we have over
swirls and loops

A Change of Scenery

A well known phrase
And while the diction is clear,
You and I still manage to find different connotations.

For me,
It is simply a change of location
or season

Whereas you prefer a change in women,
tossing the other out without logic or reason.

Painting a Vermeer Verity

deceiving
            the eye
with emphasis &
              suggestion

stresses
       of the fanciful
evidence
      of the significant
with
                implications
  illusions
     enigmas

        connotations
                  in the eye

Congregation of Bullies

Society Is a word without real meaning. Yet society means a lot, Like: look the other way; look at you with disgust; Shun and violate. Society is a sort of congregation of bullies. A word only used with negative connotations. A word used when people say: "Be a productive part of" or "You don't fit in."

Uncommonwealth

The Word of God grows
out of the soil of your heart
And on the earth of your character
Don't base your actions and reactions
on impulse or emotion
To save you from the campus
of commotion in evil connotations
which may not mind your affluence
in communication or influence on the congregation
It makes one to lose the commonwealth
of his kindred and his wealth in His kingdom

Compliment Or Insult

She wasn’t sure
If he had paid her
A compliment or an insult,
When he patted her posterior
And called her a bubble butt...

Wikipedia states: "Bubble butt" has at least two connotations, which are at odds with each other: either a small, round and firm pair of buttocks resembling a pair of soap bubbles next to each other, or a large rear end, seemingly about to burst from the strain.

Tion

I've actually heard that cohabitation
Can lead to nights of copulation
Which can have negative connotations
And lead to serious complications
Especially if their pigmentation
Shows they're from a different nation
We all adhere to the same orientation
We're all aboard the same flotation
It's Mother Earth there's no imitation
So lay back and get some relaxation
And don't succumb to constipation!

Gunslinger

With a sneer and a s....
His hand on the trigger
The little boy cocked his gun
His friends ran away
Cos' they would not play
With a boy that was no fun

Note...
Laugh in a half-suppressed and typically scornful way
Snicker in American Sn....... in English as in all dictionaries with no offensive connotations whatsoever.
I find the exclusion of the rest of the word in my poem out of my comprehension.

Untitled 12

Mistakes are born in sterile rooms...alone in isopropyl fumes
Beneath a spray of congratulations
Aware of darker connotations
Mistakes by fools who lose their gloves...fools in grade school, not in love
confirming all the allegations
Provoking late night altercations
These, mistakes not forgive: not put to bed like little fibs
No, you will grow to rue that day
when you realize what you walked away
from.

There is no Crueler Word than War

fork has many interpretations

connotations

as do
eviscerate
slaughter
butchery
all can mean less than they
appear to be

context is important

but War

War is the foulest of foul words
a word that only the dead hear correctly

the living
choose from a lexicon of oaths
they may banter
or throw stones

but War

War kills every word
in the dictionary

even to the last
blood-soaked letter

The Eye Doctor Said I Should Take Up Boxing

Ocular hypertension and
A couple of jabs here

I read the letters on the chart and
Threw in the towel

But she was adamant
The connotations

Pay-per-view Las Vegas
Ears bitten

Jubba-jubba-jib-jab and
A bathroom meteorologist

I got the receptionist
In a headlock

I didn't kill Davey Moore
But I made another appointment and

Promised her the next time I was in
I would be the heavyweight champion of the world
