i wanted it all
yet i couldn't let go
to grasp the future
of my dreams
there within my reach

Why am I the one
To do everything I can,
Everything for you,
But just can't bring myself to...?
I just want to be with you.
My face, a wrinkle deep,
My past, a messy choice,
My present, conflicting options,
Yet, I'm full of desire for a beauty queen.
They were conflicted.
About my affliction.
There is no cure, they decided.
But a remedy.
That they will inflict upon me.
she was as confused
as she was conflicted
she was as scared
as she was obsessed
she needed more
she needed her
she was truly in love
squandered time and wasted breaths
conflicted feelings soothed with a kiss
round and round and round again
i think the problem is that i love him
I miss you and I don't
at the same time
I don't know how I feel
inside
my heart is hurt
so is my pride
I'm so conflicted
in my mind.

impossible obedience required
as she melted with reluctance
in familiar mystery
a lonely splendor broken
by bewildered whispers
and weak hearts unite

Cages Trump Will Rattle
Have been conflicted by fighting a battle,
After all our cages Trump still does rattle;
Like little kid,
Who flipped lid,
And he like telling lies and on us will tattle.

diminished doubting
in the shadows of her mind
conflicted but fully blown
softly kicking self
for holding ideas back
insecurities retained

Pink opiate at breakfast
Two blues at lunch
A tiny green pill at break
Druggie? Just a hunch
Easily addicted
His choices now conflicted
The highs are great, the lows not so bad
He decides to stay addicted, my cousin Chad
Accounting
for madness
A conflict
in terms
The devils
own details
In secrets
unlearned
What stays
ill conflicted
Stays
misunderstood
No rhyme
and no reason
When bad
— trumps the good

The lollipop quintet is coming after dinner my six-year-old predicted.
I was slow to believe, I am not all- knowing like him, so feeling conflicted.
This quintet was at the door singing their lungs out at a quarter to seven.
I stared at my son, wonder what other talents he had gotten from heaven.
Dear lord I'm addicted
All my morals are conflicted
The necessities been evicted
I ought to be convicted
And I should be restricted
As it was depicted
Some would say predicted
Once I became subscripted
That I'd soon be afflicted
And definitely unrestricted
It can't be contradicted
'cause to poetry I'm addicted
crazy sanity
excited placidness
terrible wonderfulness
enthusiastically down
mountainous nothingness
unexpected anticipations
insanely normal
conscientiously uncaring
empathetic bullying
horrible kindnesses
guilty innocence
joyful depression
bipolar normalcy
conflicted understandings
crawling highs
maniacal lows
If a conflicted carrot
based on its looks
could feel it's a parsnip
it would be a turnip for the books
and should confused chard
on corn do a number
lettuce hope the offspring
isn't a baby cucumber
some plants are quite confounded
in my garden bed
sadly the rhubarb is convinced
it's celery badly sun-burned red
EMOTIONAL BRUSH STROKES
a backlit painting
darkens in the mind’s mirror,
falling from her throne
the woman’s figure
in geometric color,
neon flash of strobe
will all the king’s men
mend the shattered glass
restrict her movement?
petty and pretty
prideful and coquettish blitz
— conflicted artist?

'A fleeting memory'
There's a ghost in my room.
It looks familiar.
It's trying to tell me something,
but no noise is heard.
It starts to flicker.
I feel conflicted emotions.
I try to hug her.
But she fades.
Now I'm lost,
searching for meaning,
a reason to live,
A reason not to die.
After I lost it all.
I'm so conflicted,
I can't find my way back home.
I've been missing,
I tried to save myself again.
I've been wishing,
A star would find this hole in me.
My heart keeps skipping,
down the road to a loathsome beat.
I keep slipping,
I'm so high I've lost my feet.
The words their all missing,
from everything I wanted to say.
I'm so conflicted
Thinking about things that are out of our control is a complete waste of energy
and serves only to possibly create within us all emotional, conflicting enemies,
but at one time fire was considered beyond our control in our distant, primitive ancestry.
If one had not once been, thinking about that uncontrollable fire thing,
I wonder how life today would presently be?
bemusement
mismatched
in a backward glance
the worst if times

magnified in spritual images
perceptions of sincerity
of
freewheeling precepts

glimpses of the beyond
once conflicted

embraced
Reconnected
We have finally reconnected.
All those years lost, love was affected
Now in the present, we can forget some of the past
And continue what we had, finally at last
Waiting all those years, love has been conflicted
But by God's grace reconnection was predicted
It was worth the wait and I know this is true
Because nothing is better then being back with you
