EMOTIONAL BRUSH STROKES
a backlit painting
darkens in the mind’s mirror,
falling from her throne
the woman’s figure
in geometric color,
neon flash of strobe
will all the king’s men
mend the shattered glass
restrict her movement?
petty and pretty
prideful and coquettish blitz
— conflicted artist?
