Trump Healthcare
America's seniors
Paid their taxes when due
But retired on pensions
That favored the few

Now County Clerks
Have made that quite clear
Under "Cause of Death:"
(Enter your Senator here)...

Miss Prudie Plunkett
Instead of a purse, Miss Prudie Plunkett carried a frumpy sack
Brazenly swiping, filching, odd & ends and bric-a-brac...
Until one day at the five-and-dime
The store clerks gave her a terrible time
Banned her for life and labeled her a kleptomaniac!...

The Servants
Who runs Oz? The task,
A public servant you must ask!
PS clerk run our land,
Admirably, it's quite grand,
As they will tell you, tee hee,
They run budgets efficiently,
Managing Oz quite capably,
Pollies come and pollies go,
PS clerks are keeping on, lo!...

Corona Heroes
Covid19 Heroes

to all the health care providers
law enforcement workers
bus drivers
grocery clerks
and other essential workers
who are working 24/7
to keep us safe
there are no words
for us to express
our heartfelt thanks
to the heroes
that are saving our lives
24/7 every day...

How did the dearth of Charmin come about?

   Of this and Angel Soft there is a drought!

      I needed some for myself

         But I saw an empty shelf

            Clerks said their stock of such was all 'wiped' out!

I don't intend to be flip about a very serious situation but think we could all
use a smile during this stressful period in our lives....

The Fight
Nantucket was a bully in town
And he pushed everyone around
From storekeepers to clerks
He had no special perps
Until he met Black-flag
Who gave him a special tag
Nantucket ducked and dodged
But Black-flag fist was too large
Nantucket was tag not once but twice
That changed him from nasty to nice
Right now, he’s a bully no more
Because Black-flag tossed him out the door...

Fresh, Tinned Or Frozen
Fresh, Tinned Or Frozen

Father was a snap bean,
that’s all, Sis,
nothing more.
Fresh, tinned or frozen,
the greens of snap beans vary.

Neighbors in the yard,
clerks at the store,
folks at church,
you and me and bawling Ma,
for years we fed his strange chameleons

so we can swear, on the Bible,
Father was a snap bean,
that’s all, Sis.
Nothing more.
Fresh, tinned or frozen.

Holiday Shopping
Cyber Monday’s almost gone
So everyone at Amazon
Can take a minute and a breath;
(I’m sure they must be worked to death!)

But as the holidays approach,
Some frenzied shoppers will encroach
On all the patience of the clerks;
(For out there, there are lots of jerks!)

Let’s hope that stores and online sites
Help customers procure delights
For friends and kin without much grief;
(And after New Year’s – what relief!)...

We Are Doomed People
We are doomed people. Nurses’ aides, housekeepers, LPN and Ward Clerks
Maintenance and kitchen cooks; slave of the modern workplaces
We are the Victims of Hurricane Sandy
Taking life for granted,
 Everything was nice and dandy
  until Sandy furious attack
 In an instant life live: reverse like a deadly curse
Forcing the Oil prices to rise higher after volatile week
We cried, we pray, we curse under the same breath
 Frequently asked question “Why us father why we...

'tis the Season
It's the special season of giving and joy
not felt in months of warmth and heat;
TV programs with beaming faces
tell us we are happy;
hassled clerks and confused shoppers
all swept up by the seasonal depression,
what is enough and when do you stop
handing over the plastic?
The season seems to be measured by
materialism and its pseudo happiness;
but it comes to an end when it's
back to work with budget and taxes
during the in-between months of everyday living....
