Cecil the Magician knew a heap of tricks,
But, alas, couldn't get himself out of this fix!

We travel this hard road fast.
Our hearts love will always last.
We have learned well from the past.
Let’s just have a blast.

Since you found my words, my seal was tight.
Please read, do not have any fright.
These words, be my last, tonight.
To my wife, heavens lights,
I have taken flight.
No longer fight,
Our twelfth night,
Ignites
Rite

Is Hotel Cecil cursed?
A portal to hell?
How many have died there?
Accidentally or by murder and suicide?
It is the most notoriously haunted hotel in America.
Associated with macabre incidents, serial killers.
Downtown Los Angeles is host to these seven hundred rooms.
Shall I book you a room? There is always a vacancy.
Diabolical laughter.
Innocently lured off Hwange National Park
shot at with a bow and arrow
injured and confused
then tracked down
and killed in cold
blood with a gun
Cecil was killed on July 1 of 2015
whether he was murdered by a
big game hunter or a researcher--
the truth remains—such a friendly
lion did not deserve to die in a horrible way
conservationists and all good people are outraged
surely someone somewhere has to account for this
horrifying act of cruelty and other poaching crimes
