Staunch, spine straight as a flagpole
Chin tucked into neckfolds of flesh
  Face itch, lips blubber incessantly...

    Hips thrust forward... twin bulldozers
Life expectancy, a speck in a sandstorm
Rows of medals under gray sash, Iraq...

The Tail - (Rhyme) of Us
It's May for Jacaranda trees,
We laugh in purple in the breeze...
Bulldozers bite.

We dare to say "HELLO" to bees
and make the toddlers laugh and sneeze...
Construction site.

Landscaping Nature as you please
Requires coldness - Soul's disease.
This is my fight!

Millennium Park
a reclaimed landfill
once succumbed
to the deafening shriek
of sea gulls and bulldozers.
Now a rolling hill
gazing down on the skyline
of The City of Boston.
A blanket of greenery
laid over a once open sore
inviting the weary
to sit, to succumb
to the blissful stillness
as the wind sings
in the long-needled pines.

Human Uxos
They just lie low
Waiting to pounce
With deadly results
On innocent people
And causing unfathomable
Mental and physical damage
These are strictly speaking
Not people with heart and soul
They are unexploded ordinance
Best diffused with bulldozers or
Unmanned air combat vehicles
But best of all a change of heart
A feat the troops of God, Allah
And other Deities might as well
Employ, if they are not complicit!...

Differed Dreams
The flames flickered and licked
We-men, women and infants
Unknowingly,
They licked up potential
They licked up dreams
They licked up futures
They innocently licked up hopes

Fires cremated failures and frustrations
Like bulldozers they overhauled and mauled little pockets
Of joys and tears of ghetto residents

Here, they smoked potential
Here, they smoked greatness
Here, they smoked innocence

Things that we'd never known, or will ever ever know!...
