Imperfect Perfection

Helmet of Love,
Gloves of Apprehension,
Breastplate of Morality,
Sword of discontent,

We as a people are prepared for the worst,
But unprepared for the best,
Percieved as perfect,
But we, Perfectly flawed...

Ribcage Like a Conch Shell

My ribcage is like a conch shell
where you can press your ear
against my narrow chest
where the music of the ocean tides
meet the songs of the mermaids
flowing and circulating
through my heart made of ocean water
and my breastplate made of coral reefs

Premium Member Truth Be Told

You cannot audit
my mind
nor still my voice.
Truth—the breastplate
of mind and voice—Is.
Truth needs no clarity;
and cannot be silenced.

Like light, it cannot be hidden;
like the sky, it cannot fall.
Like time, truth cannot be enslaved;
set you mind
to the true time and neither can you.

And this, brothers and sisters, is as true
as God is—The Truth! Word!

It Won'T Be Long

Don't be afraid
Don't close the door
Don't shut the gate
Please keep the faith
You will be surprise
Just you wait
I can assure you
Jesus won't be late
He will prepare you a soulmate
So there isn't any need for a blind date
You can debate
But I know that Christ is never late
Just you wait
You will be able one day
To increase that birthrate
Until then keep on the breastplate.

The Wound of You

No a cutter
no
scars yes
self inflicted indirectly
addicted to the cycle
of made up rejection
back streaked
from lies believed
breastplate deflated
promises almost kept
just another ride
to end with my stomach in my throat
eyes stretched and slightly burnt from
betrayals made in dark and tight spots
The wound of you
carried deep
stitched tight
The wound of you

vulnerable shoulders scantily clad
bare of protecting pauldron
without his strong arms encompassing

chest underdressed
short of a shield
without his beating breastplate pressing

helmet unharnessed
mind recklessly unleashed
without comforting thoughts of our melding

beaming brass unattached
sword unwielded for defense
strong arms to swing ~ missing

Lord Ha-Ha

Blessed be the name of Lord Ha-Ha.
I worship at the altar of Ha-Ha.
In his blood I am washed.
In his raiment I am clothed.
In his breastplate I will conquer
And in his name I will trust.

The honor of his blessing I will seek.
The grace of his presence I will covet.
He leads me to channel 60
He splitteth my sides.
My cups runneth over with mammary juice.
The fruit of his womb is as ambrosia
And I will dwell in the house of Ha-Ha forever.
