blandness of stories, the lines memorized.
fallen lashes thin my mind
bereft of stimulants.

Canvas of Life
cast your spell upon the canvas, and life begins anew, the lines do lose their blandness, and life comes into view... bandwith. Don Johnson

Wine-Dark
I am cautious
slightly anxious
mildly noxious
truly selfish

Trapped in blandness
so dangerous
unknowingness
I am toxic

With a wine-dark mood
I stifle my laugh
resisting a blush
conceding too much...

natural calm
surely slowing me down
stripping me of desire

Barren Landscape
The barren landscape it once was
Now has craters and paths
The blandness it once held
Now has colors across the land
The barren landscape it once was
Is not barren anymore

The Celestial Succedaneum
The celestial succedaneum
is our glory hole in the sky
we insert our hardened psyches
(of course sheathed in
a condom of ignorance, so
as not to be infected
or infested with the ghastly
blandness of verisimilitude)
into it, and
Thrust
while our hardy
imaginations feverishly
imagine
God....

Marvelous Herbs

Herbs -
Nature’s
Marvelous
Gift of flavor -
Brightens the blandness
Of the ordinary -
Savory gracing tasteless -
Zest to nondescript dreariness -
Herbal wonders – healing remedies –
Seasoning’s magic to flavorless salt.

I Thee Take Thy Smoke In Hand
I thee take thy smoke in hand...
Taste buds blossom blumes fumigated by blandness for all this madness.

Hence forth with my aching pains...
Gives me none no new world gains.

Happenchance gasp's that choke my pipe's airid winds...
Again'st Gods laws of healthy body's house that goes on to detour all us
mouse's law breaking sins....

Blue Wave
Heat on the door, windows airless,
    Obsessive heat.
Inching blandness in sorrow soaked.
Prism of light spearing through our town
Filled with hope.
A lingering ghost stays on.
Hungry repetition, happened, been and gone.
So slowly, interest fading
To a daylight breaking
For that moment,
By a candle bare,
On rosewood eyes you shine....

Looking For Words
Looking for words.

Pink and blue billows on the poetic sky drip of eager words
Alas, towards dawn, a westerly wind blew cleared the sky
In the morning blank screen lit up when the sun shone.
But the sun passes as it must, the screen greys while waiting
To be written; to be dreamless is a curse, slow death.
Listless looking at the sky, finding blandness but also words
Like other poets, I cannot steal but wish I could.
I end this poem so I can say; that what is written here is mine....
