What is bettered if you went?
What is worsened if you stayed?
Who benefits more from going?
Who is better served by staying?
An opposition may prove one righteous.
An acquiesce for stability is more noble.

One Small Change
There are those times, when you look back, and know one small change, could have bettered your world
immensely. Be it an action, a sentence, a word, it threw your world off course, and the exit you passed, can’t
ever be re-found....

Must I Sing
who achievement stand before these people
that he might find his own way
to be more
greater
better
among those
who have transcended
the atmosphere
to be
seen as a star
someone
best
better
of bested
of bettered
in the competition of
wrestling!...

Beer Bettered Blues
Knuckles banged, finger cut;
Bolt still bonded with the nut.

Mind shaking, temper rising;
Thoughts leading to a cruel surprising.

Bankruptcy looming, crumbling affairs;
Dreams dropping not by one but in pairs.

Heart broke, soul shattered;
Lost the only relationship that mattered.

Sit? Relax? Sip a cold beer?
Think before acting, the answer is near....

No Regrets
I have no regrets, not a mistake made
Beautiful sands just slipped too fast
Through our hourglass smoothly
Time was not bestowed upon us
Not at this junction of our lives

Waves shall erase the footprints
The memories will remain etched
Hope intact that our paths will cross
Towards, through and beyond destiny
Eternal love for the one who bettered my life

To Fast
Too Fast

Is it just me or is life
running to fast?,
I turn to look back
all I see is an ugly past...

So I continue to look forward
not knowing what lyes ahead,
Some are weaker than others
on the side they lay there dead...

I refuse to be just like them
overwhelmed by trouble and strife,
I refuse to be just like them
For it is time I bettered my life......

Bestow
no good deed goes unpunished
no bad deed unrewarded
just deciding which is what
the altruistic and the sordid

depends upon the angle of view
what an act is deemed to better
and who it might be bettered to
gain advantage, and who's the debtor

gray is life's chromatic scale
certainty colored by present perception
think our discernment to no avail
that may be our own self-deception

clarity is the provenance of youth
blurrier is wizened maturity's truth

Premium Member My Enemy
I have a long term enemy
Who l have battled with throughout the years
An on and off, love- dislike relationship
Often resulting in hurt and tears

There have been many tumultuous times
When negative and unkind words were spoken
Leaving me unsure and confused
To the point where l felt totally broken

Years and maturity have bettered our relationship
We have learnt to judge less and be kind
I have gained strength and understanding now
For my enemy was my own mind!!
