Winter Wear

Like freshly laundered bed sheet, nature spreads a white silken gleaming, sparkling, eye blinding cool earth coveralls.

Premium Member Baby Tossing

For centuries, families in India for reasons of luck Have tossed their babies from a 50-foot tower, they've run amuck These guys are “bleat” Babies land on a bed sheet A custom to which these newborns are blessed as they chuck

Premium Member The Beating of Butterfly Wings

A littany of tiny little kisses on the mouth
making the heart race, and the eyes sigh
A bed sheet wrapping that leads to longing
warm skin, finger brush , suddenly a rush
We arrive at the same time, like the beating
of butterfly wings...

I Am Now

Over heard 2 men on a bus
None without a hush
What would you do before you die
Take a bed sheet jump from the sky
Not for me
the other disagreed
Just hope to see the trees
But laziness my quest
inside my answer
peace
just once
while i take a rest

Or Once So Sweet

Home Sweet Home
Or once so sweet
My old home with a gnome
Even a clean bed sheet

So long ago
Was this my home
Except this is just a shadow
Emerging from my memory like foam
Tactfully emerging from the sea

Home sweet home
Originally my home
My home has become your home
Eagerly you take it away because of the economy

Premium Member A Bed Sheet Stained With Chocolate

Jane went out with friends
She spent the evening
After a long drive
She was very tired
Sleeping through the night
In the morn she awoke
With a big surprise
Her pj's had stains
All over her sleep wear
The color was brown
She sniffed the brown stain
From the stained bed sheet
It smelled like chocolate
On her pyjamas
Dried in a big crust.

A Hundred Poems - Xvi

The morning eye do I love
it see a new day untouched
a breath of sight so grand
a peace-inner speak-eye

tussle the bed sheet, a flag
that Nation for the sleeper
my Anthem made of murmur
whisper-speak my tender love

and each morning i awaken
do i see my Nation next to me
that Anthem her name and lips
and her voice angelic bliss.

Freaky Things

On Halloween night, creatures roam the street
Vampires, a ghost wearing a white bed sheet
I hear blood curdling screams
I'm sure they'll haunt my dreams
Freaky things won't keep me in ~"Trick or treat?"

The Rose Meadow

Through my unending vision,
I look in her eyes to find
pinks and reds blossom to life
on the bed-sheet of roses that
she, herself had woven by
tiny threads of the vivid art
her soul couldn’t express,
but all her heart goes to
a rose shrinking in a corner-
A flower deprived of water and sun
had been longing for too long to
belong somewhere or to someone…

The Eyes Have It

As have I Has the dawn ever seen your eyes, glowing in dreamscape whispers, feathered by soft morning breezes, enticing daylight wishes & hot coffee desires, reflecting in a summer’s sunrise while bed sheet & flannel affections warm you… as have I 7/7/17 Written for “The Eyes Have It” poetry contest Sponsored by: Daniel Turner

And She Comes

She switches the TV off,
Gets up and makes,
Her last visit to her kitchen,
Washes the remaining crockeries ,
Leaves them in their places ,
She sets the cell phone in the charger,
Checks the front door secure,
Puts off the lights,
Reaches her bed,
Spreads her bed sheet neatly,
With the comforter,
In the right position,
She kneels to say her prayers,
And lies down to sleep.

Her

I was once all that a young man should be,
cloaked by a translucent bed sheet tossed over insecurities.

Somewhere between Mark Twain and Plato I grew a lust.
I stroked it with her beauty, and her legs with my desire.

There was need in her breasts, and joy in her hips.
My destine fell with “I’ll call you tomorrow.”

Three weeks now I've sat by my phone
thinking her calendar was lost.

Words of Loss

Hand written love notes
from no one
smeared like roses
across your pillow
bed sheet hand prints
lingering smell of rain
dead skin dust collects
on a dresser not opened
for millions of seconds.
tears leak out of the ceiling
to stain a picture frame
filled by your loved one lost
memories like children's laughs
collect on your skin like dew
memories locked away, face blank
it's so hard to remember
it's so easy to forget.

I Heard That

Spooky rustling in the night
In the corner on my right

Could be this or could be that
Not certain it’s the cat

Awake for so many hours
Diving under bed sheet cowers

Last night woke with a start
Watched light speck about me dart

“Strange goings on, you are sad,
imaginings” said my dad

Sudden awake, hear name call
See-through ghost against the wall

Shaking, “who are you” I said
“I’m from the house of the dead”

Once Cold

You close your eyes,
Llick your lips,
And loosnes your thights,
Hips,
As I prepare to take a dip,
You smile with a little grin,
Since you showed me what's whithin.
Your expression change from bad to worst,
Worst meaning good,
So I continued my course,
With a hunger for love,
Not remorse.
Your hands form a tight fist,
As you begin to clinch,
The bed sheet,
When I went deep,
Deeper,
Deeper into your soul,
Making your body warm,
Since it was once cold.

Oh it's happening again

In this moment,
I see visions of bed sheet caught in slow motion,
I see crinkles in corners of eyes and smiles that turn into giggles,
I see screaming fingers tips up and down my skin,
I see something new to brush my fingers through,
I see him grazing his facial hair on my upper thighs,
I see my new poems and problems coming about,
I see myself saying “I need you” again.
oh no it’s happening again,
Oh Oh it’s happening again,
Oh it’s happened again.
