Fade Away

A forgotten swing In a playground
Rusts until it breaks
A forgotten summer flower
A new blossom can not make.

A forgotten piece of bread
Turns mouldy through, and through
A forgotten green leaf fruit tree
Will never bare it's fruit.

If we forget each other
Every single day,
A forgotten human being
Will one day fade away.

My Plateau

In the essence of my mind I look towards that plateau where my soul can rest, and where I can obtain serenity and peace.

I search so hard day by day, but can never find it. In my dreams it is the perfect place where I am ever grateful for the night time dark. Let me close my eyes and encounter my solace, and my deep relationship with God....

You

You, who are unable to grasp
the concept of another human being,
You, with beauitful eyes
Always looking, never seeing.

You, with your polished nails
And gleaming halo,
You the intelligent one,
The one who's fit, the one who's able.

You, the master of your city,
The king, or queen of your throne,
You with so much wisdom
How come you're all alone.......

Aging

The deep solace of my mind
Is compelled to draw out
The imperfections of my being
I stand at the alter of faith,
And beg for guidance.

In this world of youth and beauty
Arriving at my middle age
With no more a perfect body or mind,
Who is left to guide me?

When the populace says
No longer are you worthy
To give opinions, your age makes you a fool
And we are interested no more.

Lost Soul

The velvet morning air passes through my window,
And God's golden hand
Touches my shoulder.....
His presence gives me energy
To face my fear that waits.

He will walk with me,
And encourage me,
I will not be afraid.....He will keep me safe
And I will feel so peaceful with him
At my side.

Pray tell, if this were true
Would I be writing in my darkened room
Alone, with my lost and frightened soul........

Simply Me

Just a speck I the universe
I feel it is a must
To try to do much better,
And become a particle of dust.

If I could graduate to that
I would like to see
If I could at least attain
The status of a flea.

Maybe someday per chance
If I could get it right,
I would become a shining star
You look up to every night.

But if I could reach my highest goal
How perfect it would be,
To have a second chance
At Simply being me.

Saturday

It is the beginning of another week of Mondays
And I am trapped in this time zone. Saturday's are a far off place, and
Sundays are light years away.

It is a time of dark mornings, and even darker nights.
There is no escape.

Every fiber of my being is crying out for freedom and sunshine.
The smell of apple blossoms in the spring,
and the smoke from leaves burning in the fall.

And if Saturday came tomorrow........
then I fear it came too late.

Roses

The brilliant red of the roses
Touched by the morning dew
Beckons to the passer by
To stop, and enjoy the view.

Beside the other flowers
They really can't compare,
No one ever looks at them
But for the rose they stop and stare.

It's fragrance is superior
To any of the rest,
It's colour so enriching
When put to any test.

So when you gather roses
And your hands get scratched, and torn,
Remember beauty can be shallow,
Embedded with prickly thorns.

Me To You

Please come and find me
You know I'm alone,
Please come and find me
So I can go home.

Have you even been looking
Between the earth and the sky,
Did you not notice
Or not even try.

Please come and find me
So I won't feel so afraid,
Have you forgotten promises broken
And promises made.

If I could reach you from here
I would give you my love,
That's too hard to do
From so far above.

If you don't find me
I will understand,
Another life time
Is quickly at hand.

The Not So Famos Poet

No more silly poems
I refuse to be a bore,
I put them in the cabinet,
And then I slammed the door.

I think it's time to realize
It's a real job that I need,
And stop this silly nonsense
Writing of rivers, and green leaf trees.

It can not get you any where
No matter how hard you try,
This writing of the heavens,
Ths stars, the moon, the sky.

There is nothing more to write about
And nothing left to say,
I'll leave it to the authors,
Who for their work get paid.
