I feed everything considered and
all but

pathological liar) with
not yet proven accusations or
assertions of
war treason.

Insisted
tight-fisted
hard fisted, too.

Resistin'
when necessary
or, hey, when not.

Assertions without backup facts
get votes.
Disappearance when overwhelmed
whole 'nother story....

Political Argument
POLITICAL ARGUMENT?

Why seek the facts to prove and advocate it
When we can just declare, asseverate it

When all the press republish our assertions
That many take as dogma like Cistercians

If media take this meme and gives it voice
Reality is fixed, forget free choice...

Premium Member Casting Nasturtiums
The director of the new play 'Assertions'
Held auditions for the lead female role.
To avoid any assertions of casting aspersions
He asked all hopefuls to dress as nasturtiums.
The role called for a lady so delicious and yummy
That the audience would want to gobble her up,
Like real nasturtiums with edible flowers and leaves....

Premium Member I am fine
I am fine.

Dismiss the rumors that proclaim

I am falling apart.

Please know,

unfounded, are these assertions.

I shout my echoed joy;

To demonstrate that I am,

well.

I am not

pleading for help.

Hear me now,

regard it as untrue.

This glowing smile I wear–

the reality.

It is not

but a mere facade.

I tell you–

I am fine.

Breaking
He shot the speed out of me.
I am dirt again.
It did not matter what I was.
If I was more he would put it in check.

Baseball was hard.
But he was the shortstop that ran and
When learning to throw, I chose my elbow
and he would laugh, call it weak.

And he knew better than mom.
I withdrew my assertions
because there is no truth
when all that stands are poles,
extremes of north versus south....

Maintain Your Focus
MAINTAIN YOUR FOCUS
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

Don’t lower the bar, lose not sight of the goal
Avoid the distractions, that constantly unfold
Zero in on the prize with relentless pursuit
An untended tree will be barren of fruit
Fuel your quest with positive assertions
Mine your resources for creative infusions
Your goal emerges, in sight, continue apace
Successful missions lead to a higher chase...

Premium Member Mystery On Mars
It’s hard for me to speculate about something
which portends to be a mystery,
while I already have the answer in hand.
There have already been assertions
and rather than butt heads
in exasperation,
just let me offer this.
Another set of photos,
offered up in evidence, since we
first surmised the sphinx.
They clearly show in three dimension,
the sphinx to be cliffs and crevasses of a mesa.

Questions
Why do you look at me untrusting so?
Is there something I should know?
Who are you to judge me, here?
Should I really express this fear?

Why do you continue leering?
When I’m gone, are you jeering
Over many things I may have done?
To judge me, are you the one?

Cast not ever, evil aspersions.
Dare not ever make bad assertions.
Lest you be judged in the minds
By those with nothing good to find.

So, judge not others, ever each day
Treat them as yourself, in every way....
