a quick look in the eye
and his head is up
smiling
big teeth grinning
watching me to find his cue
watch me
he prances
I can feel it and I wish i could see
but he keeps his eyes on me
then
release
run
run
bring it back
at full gallop he is all muscle and power
grabbing
turning
to run and sit in front of me
I did it
whats next
we're long grass walkers
mid-night stalkers
sleepers of many hours...
fur so soft
a soothing pet to pet.
we do so welcome
a strke or two.
so nice kitty kitty,
but not so much !
let me out
so i may hunt
morning comes
just let me in,
the head i'll bring
of what i eat.
let me in
when you awake,
i'll be there for you,
for me to pet...
CATS !!
Surely, you look so innocent
Dazed in those big brown eyes,
Silky soft velvety nose:
Endearing instinctive charm.
Warmth, as I cushion my hand
Over the shiny black armour,
Cuddle you closer to the heart:
Or feel me box your ears for you.
But for now, let me boast you,
Over my checkered shirt in envy;
Clinging paws, vibrant, ever watchful:
Holding on, steadfast in love.
Her name is Della, when she meows
she sounds like a squeaky toy and
looks like a pot belly pig.
Her fur is as black as can be eyes of
gold that sparkle like diamonds.
Once she had been lost but now she
lives with me bringing me more joy and
happiness than I could ask for.
Her name is Della, when she meows
she sounds like a squeaky toy but I
am glad she is my Kitty Della Mae.
Form:
Do you hear it?
That thundering sound form the ground
Can you feel the warm wind in my hair?
Can you feel the sun's warmth on my face?
Can you see me running over the grassy hills
and through the cool streams which cross them?
What am I?
I am a horse.
You cannot break me or tame me
But you can always learn to love me.

** A family friend of mine.
Age 14.
A furry face that greets me in the morning
laying next to my face upon my flattened pillow
she snuggles closer upon my eyes cracking open to the day
while her tail switches back and forth like the wiper blades on our car
"take me for a walk NOW, Mom," her little furry body and grunts say to me
and as I stretch
so does she in her down dog position as we both roll off the bed and onto
our feet....
Eyes aglow,I roam without fear.
Ears pierced,a vibrating sound.
Claws emerge a subtle grip of ground.
Like a ghost in the night.
I am rarely seen.
Scoping the plain,checking the scene.
Smart and sleek.
I can hold my own.
Tempered set,I work alone.
Enemies exist.
They rapture me not.
Never will you catch me move lacking a plot.
''If I Was An Animal What Would I Be Contest?''

dear Lord save me from evil men
the bullet bait and snare,
save me from being caged
or confined for men to stare.
save me from the abattoir
or from the skinners knife,
and the plunging dagger
that would take away my life.
They takeaway my habitat
and hunt me when they can,
they destroy my offspring,
and take pleasure in the hunt.
and still they kill each other
with rocket bomb and shell,
send them retribution lord
and let them rot in hell.
I went to school,
for dog training,
and to groom,
I studied real hard,
each night, and afternoon,
animals make me smile,
each time I see their face,
but I'm not in denial,
the rivals we face,
I teach them survival,
in a world full of humans,
where and when to rival,
and of course,
waht not to ruin,
and yes, it's true,
working with animals is hard,
I'ts very stressful too,
but theres no other profession,
I'm more suited to do,
I'ts just in me,
and that makes me happy.
