''Paw of the Panther''

Eyes aglow,I roam without fear.
Ears pierced,a vibrating sound.
Claws emerge a subtle grip of ground.
Like a ghost in the night.
I am rarely seen.
Scoping the plain,checking the scene.
Smart and sleek.
I can hold my own.
Tempered set,I work alone.
Enemies exist.
They rapture me not.
Never will you catch me move lacking a plot.

A panther..ROAR!!!!!! The words smart and sleek, tempered and working alone. This is so well done. Scoping the plain, checking the scene describes the panther to the T! Congrats on this HM in the contest. Gwendolen

Congratulations, Kacey. I think I saw a movie once that referred to an African cat as a Ghost. That is a good description of one!

Oooh, you really capture the spirit of the panther in your poem, Kacey. Like the way you wrote it in first-person, too. Congratulations on your win in Kirsten's contest! Love, Carolyn
