Had a son one day
Wanted horns
Him to play
So many things
Got in the way
Dreaming future ties
Things that make life
Tunes stemming from
Ups and downs
Relieving
Soothing Plight
If there truly were 'Change"
and peace forever more
New amendments to
The Capitalist law...
Would there then be
Happiness that comes apar?
Also...
Would I get a brand new car??
Ha Haa ;D
little you know an immigrant
coming at age twenty fully educated at not a cost to you
learn the language and save mount of dollars to clean your floors
must be a reason they came to to your country of amendments
not written in stone if only you could see the suffering
Fireworks now -- oohs, aahs, wows
Back then, musket shots in glens
Parades now -- amusing attractions
Back then, soldiers in traction
Population now -- hundreds of millions
Population then, 2,500 -- a dozen cotillions
Documents then -- Declaration of Independence
Documents now -- Trillion-dollar Amendments
Sometimes, you use feeling
To kidnap someone's future
It's not an easy feeling to keep
Love is like merchandize goods
You see the price tag then bargain
So much negotiation on both parties
Like coffee milk shake combine
To make amendments in the end
They always fight for own interest
Seldom fight for amicable happiness
Which is conjugal and eternal.
Journalist jeopardizes hegemony
Unveils untold injustices
Lacerates limits of freedom
Invokes imminent amendments
Answers alleged incriminations
Negates nefarious power
Antagonizes acrimonious lies
Suffers slaughter of right
Subdues surrogate meanings
Awaits apoplectical hatred
Nears noxious injection
Gulps generous hemlock
Ends evil monopoly
For thousands of days he had seen the sun risen for him
Bringing joy, happiness and even bliss on his way
But
He - not even for once - had expressed his gratitude
For
All these gifts and for the privilege of being alive
And now
That he realises his life to its end comes
In
Desperation begs for one more day
So as
Amendments to make!
