Unaware
At the very edge of life
bordered by the admonition
"Don't go", released
to explore, expand knowledge
tangible, tactile
I found assumed freedom....

Attention To Anonymity
Darkness is a square
That captures you in your darkness
Darkness adds on and on...
And one day reveles into a holy admonition
To unfold an epic of ray....

Show of Compassion
Happy birthday, dear Emy Ann,
People heard Christ's admonition;
What the Samaritan woman
Did was a show of compassion.

The Weight of Winter
I could run from you, you know
Try to stop me with a single blow
A mighty gust is your admonition
Husky whispers of opposition
My blood slows under your icy eyes
A frigid man whom I despise
You’ll strip the colour from my skin
Trick my nerves to burn within
Your face is calm for all is planned
As you blot out life
with the weight
of your snow white hand....

Social Distancing

There is fear
Planted by closeness..
By warnings posted in
The world without..
Closeness they say
Will be sharing of a
Microscopic terrorist
Lurking in our breath
Poised to leap when
The distance is right..

Is this admonition
Begging a turn inward to
Locate that place
Which is not a place
Where distance dissolves
In a newfound Calm...?...

Rocky squirrel flew through the air
Safely landing precisely where
He wished.

Caught glimpse as Shirley squirrel
(Herself in front of car did hurl)
Was nearly squished.

Rocky had warned Shirley before
Admonition Shirley chose to ignore-
Cars can smite

Such events reveal it's not merely heuristic
Fatalities by car is greater statistic
Than fatalities by flight...

Premium Member Georgie Custer
Arrogant Custer thought he was the greatest thing since the invention of dynamite!

He took on Sitting Bull who outnumered him ten to one which wasn't very bright!

He led the Seventh Cavalry to disaster never to answer another reveille call!

"Yellow Hair" proved that old Biblical admonition, "Pride goeth before the fall!"

Wafting breeze of revival caresses my lethargic commitment while reverberating this stern admonition brought by youth's speech choir: "Have you made a difference for a worthy legacy?" Oh, may I share God's blessings midst serene triumph.*

Icarus
It should have been the glorious spreading of his wings
But Icarus flew too close to the sun
Ignoring the admonition of his father
Pride being his downfall
His dreams of escape came undone
As he fell tumbling through the heavens
And plunged into the depths of the sea,
A metaphorical warning to us all
From ancient greek mythology.

Premium Member Critterature: Beware Old Demon Rum
Here's the haughty elephant,
Won't eat food that's wrapped in cellophant.*
A catered meal is okay,
Like alfalfa or hay,
But most everything else is irrelevant.
The best of them try to abstain
From spirits like rum or champagne,
Which won't give them rabies,
But might lead to babies
Or ailments like gout and colitis.
Or, with this admonition,
A rare skin condition,
Some vets have called pachydermatitis.

The Elder Farmer Had It All
In the rice field, the elder farmer knows what he has to go through every day,
Every time he hides the fatigue of years in a smile,
His fez speaks for him,,,,
The routine in his time is scandalous;
Hiding in his big hat from the sun so he can skip the admonition,
The rain is healing what the medicine couldn't heal,
Sometimes with a pause, he takes a break to offload the traffic in a shortcut in an Island,
He waits for the smiles of gratitude to feel a bit precious....

Calcinante Admonicion
La niebla del rocío
ahuma mi visión
ante los sombríos
que calan mi mente
por tus falacias, felonias
y falible convicción;
que con notables fantasmadas
falsean tu razón...

Pues soy el fénix,
renaciente ante oscura carburación
y cenestésicas cenizas,
que ha llegado a su cenit
ardientemente centelleante...

Y, ante tu calante rocío
y manipulante sombrío
te admonizo y advierto
que con firmeza y solemnidad
solidariamente calcinado y quemado
quedará tu falsificante corazón......
