It happens to everyone/
All we want is a few/
To be called a true friend/
To show us that there's others out there/
Just like us, so we open ourselves/
To the job of finding true worthy people/
To surround ourselves with/
Only to be filled with lies and deceit/
Generation after generation/
Just keeps getting shadier/
To be blind and not see things/
So clearly, and fall for the same words/
Over and over again/
Just coming out of their mouths/
We try to be positive, shine like a star/
To attract everyone, to search and separate/
To find a few we are looking for/
Which turns into a life of struggles/
Either way we look/
We see doubt and second guessing/
Things we thought we fully understood/
To come and see the real light/
People come and go/
Some seem to use the friend word/
Easy enough, only to be proven wrong/
In the long and short run/
To be left alone/
Seeming like an.../
Outcast... Friendless/

In this deranged, fertile light -
which makes shadier our sight
-, come and sit with me, right
here to join the passage's rite
of a generous dark to find.
Unlit your cigarette with that sleight
move by offering it to the night
and, from the ashtray of dreams and might,
augur my future; see the fright
for armoring me against its smite.
And say: I bound all these tribes of kite
and bury you under the ashes and blight;
deep inside the hallways of the iron hill to quite.
Burn - you say -, and they all become trite
for they only promised me two-tongued daylight
but, now on, all I can see is the fire of my dark bright.

Every night I hear the train
I hear the doors open and close
I want to take the train as far as it will take me
I don't have a destination
and at night time, I feel like I don't want to return
But every morning I wake up knowing where I want and need to be
I want to ride this train
but I know it will be of no benefit for me
It will be a night out on the town
on the shadier side of town
without a friend in the world
leaving me vulnerable to whatever walks my way
Home is where I should be
but every night I'm immobilized
not wanting to sleep
