You Hear a Train, a Train That Will Take You Far Away

Every night I hear the train
I hear the doors open and close
I want to take the train as far as it will take me
I don't have a destination
and at night time, I feel like I don't want to return
But every morning I wake up knowing where I want and need to be
I want to ride this train
but I know it will be of no benefit for me
It will be a night out on the town
on the shadier side of town
without a friend in the world
leaving me vulnerable to whatever walks my way
Home is where I should be
but every night I'm immobilized
not wanting to sleep
