Sprinkled cheese yum
On top of a Serbs noodles
Dine serves at fireplace.

To the public the man shows herbs
For Advert hundreds of proverbs
"Your worries and mine wisdom curbs!"
Lots of Adjectives and Adverbs;
On roads blares, neither dumb on kerbs
Voice screaming hoarse near touring Serbs...
But the Old Seller of New Herbs
Settles for nothing short of blurbs,
The problems of voice pitched high curbs
And down brings number of proverbs...
"Buyers I see less for sung herbs"

Behold the coming of the infidel
with his tanks and brigades in battledress,
where once barbarians on horseback fell
new destroyers hide new sin unconfessed.
Now Serb boots march where invaders have trod
on Muslim Srebrenica in blood thirst,
but where, O tell, is their merciful God
when the lords of genocide do their worst?
Will mortar shells discern installation
from infant flesh in the stone cobbled street?
Might enemy siege end in salvation
where ancient homeland and battlefield meet?
Or will more die in the cold snow and mud
when raised are partisan flags stained in blood?
Written: April 1993
Wrote this during the last terrible conflict
in Europe during the Siege of Srebrenica
almost 30 years ago. It seems not much
has changed. Back then it was Serbs and
now it’s Russians. History always repeats.

Kosovo means a ‘field of blackbirds’
From a Serbian place-name
The centre of a medieval Serbian empire
Assembly of Kosovo declared independence
17 February 2008 they win
It doesn't violate the law and not a sin
They are Albanians and Serbs
Sulu archipelago has its own people
With Mindanao with their own name
But some loved the Spanish-given name.
Not Sulu archipelago as the 'land of the currents'
And Mindanao as the 'land of the lake and flood plains'
Their names are more than enough
To name the region, at least they have
The names are from their origin
Not from the Spanish giving
The name of nation was unconquered people
Being colonized is not a clear indication.
