Self-Righteous Bravery

Priggish bravery
Is disguised as happiness
Life's dull savory.

A Self Righteous Believer

every year on the day of my birth
you showed what your friendship was worth
making every effort to swerve and avert
being present because something occured
always last minute and out of your hands
a need to meet the demand and abandon
blagging bad like a selfish mad man
then your birthday comes like a coronation
crowned king of the nation with expectation
we should all make a day of the celebration
stop what we're doing to avoid complication
and that sets the tone painting the bigger picture
because if we didn't enter your home you wouldn't feature
selfish in your zone doing nothing for people
just lie and smoke homegrown thinking yourself a leader
more intelligent than the rest whose minds are feeble
helping them through life a self righteous believer

Self Righteous

You point your finger
You laugh at our shame
You boast of your body
and lack judgment of fame

You beg for attention
And call it dimension
You cry for acknowledgement
And welcome any argument

You blame everyone but yourself
We are all wicked,
We are all cruel,
You fail to face humility
and yet, we are the fool

What a lonely life you lead
When you’re always right
And cause unity to secede

Everyone is so self righteous
Forgive me for naming the injustice
Call me friend or call me foe
It really doesn’t matter though
When you’re the only one I see eating crow.

Self Righteous Suicide

A date with death your final breath
One last gasp you try to grasp

Your time has come
This isn’t for fun

The possibility there is no heaven
A risky gamble, maybe no lucky sevens

You should have no adoring pride
 In your self-righteous suicide

You could be lost forever eternal
An unknown soul, an empty journal

Wake Up All You Self Righteous Gods and Goddesses

SHE WON'T READ ME SO SHE WILL NEVER KNOW
            IT'S FOR AND ABOUT HER

there are far too many people no one can satisfy
so in essence we should all just let them wail and cry
because tears ain't going to get them anywhere
so have i made myself amply clear?

weep your tears my dear, but good it shall not do
it's not going to help me any and it certainly won't help you
so go ahead with reddened eyes comparing yesterday to today
for comparisons will get you nowhere except some fResh FLESH to flay

so skin yourself alive if you dare
that's as good as a self-pitying tear
as for me i cry no more
for i find weeping an unnecessary bore

oh so there she sits on a seat of memories
listening to a disembodied voice whispered by the breeze
well that voice was silenced years ago when he bid his heavenly goodbye
and as i said, there are just too many people no one can satisfy

Premium MemberSelf Righteous Indignation

Be careful daughter of Satan.....
That you do not declare war
on the one true God.
For He will cast you out
as was your father.
The mountains echoing his pleas
into the farthest regions of the cosmos.
The one true God,
the God of love, does no wrong.
His word is law and everlasting.
Recorded ages before, in prophesy,
yet born in truth by his son, Jesus.
Oh, pious whore of self righteous indignation,
pitting your existence
against that of God.
Searching for pseudo truth
and finding that for which you long
in the faith and fascination of your father.
How far from the true God must you stumble
ere you find forgiveness.
For he loves even you in your passionate
quest for self destruction.
The raven sits quietly waiting in the hallways of death.
He knows that once your soul enters
if you have not the mark of Christ
you will be his troth forever,
hidden away in the remote chasms of hell
in the bosom of your father.
Sing your song of salvation today.
You will be clad in a new self tomorrow.
