What think you about Penguin
How as a bird quite genuine?
Yes, it’s a sea bird: penguin?
About future flights sanguine?
Chatting up was I Edwin,
Who really seemed set to win
Both a fair Mr. Godwin
And fairer me on Penguin
Being like Idolized Dolphin:
To man no less The Friendly;
Hence, needs less The Unfriendly…
A face you’d have named florid
Like lightning flashed The Livid
And breaths once much calm full flares,
That could ignite a race: hare’s
“A bird pretending a fish
Don’t match with man made a fish…
As you do gods shall bless you
And the next Elijah – you”

Seabirds suffering -
consequences of plastic
a place in the sun
with scary scenario
- big wave is taking over
Building a temple
a home for the little ones
in front of our eyes
overwhelming evidence
- it's a terribly sad sight

Sky paints with seasoned brush
Sea answers - a whispered hush
Sunbeam bounds on all around
This mute, commonly-held ground
Obvious allure shining bright
Spectacle of deflected light
White-cap endlessly waving
Soul full of space, waiting, craving
For surely this is God laughing
A nod to one just in passing
Or, could this be another sign
A place to pause this point in time
Regal image so large and rich
Salt spray carry my deepest wish
To artist and engineer
Of all spread before me here
Love is too obtuse a word
For such a magical seabird
An unsung song of the heart
Must be all that I can impart
Be it naked, and quite off-key
‘Tis all I have before I flee
And turn away before I see
All I need kneeling before thee

The drawer holds no confusion,
Nor secrecy or calculated space
Of rotting and impure breeding,
Under these invisible under-layers
Of brittle papers and sharp pens.
The drawer has life in the hinges
That speaks of pain at being unopened
And creaks of zealous joy for wrists
That pull love out of insignificance
And approve of unfabricated stances.

O’ Seabird!
I have watched you as o’er the strand you fly
And as upon the wind you dance.
O’ envy I must of you and your flight so free,
For it within my soul enchants!
I have seen your wings upon a carefree wind,
As it comes and takes you where you may;
Thus I wish that I had the wings of flight,
So I too could fly away!
O’ Seabird!
That soars high o’er the strand in flight
And holds Heaven’s lofty view,
I wish that God had given me your gift,
So I may soar upon the wind with you.
I have watched you as you have taken flight
And I stand with envy of your wings;
Thus I wish that I could soar aloft with you
And fulfil my childhood dreams.
O’ Seabird!
That comes to rest at times upon the strand,
Yet may so easily fly away,
I have dreamt of your flight above the clouds
On many a summer’s day!
O’ I wish that God would hear my prayer
And then send me soaring into the blue,
Then I would truly feel as ultimately free
As I have imagined that of you!
