Watching a movie, cat on my lap
other one beside me, taking a nap
feline paralysis, frozen to my chair
I start to move, but do I dare?
One cat lets out, a little sigh
the other one looks, as if asking why.
How dare I disturb, their comfort you see
I'm just their human. they control me
So I sit a bit longer, till the movie is done
they then decide, it's time for some fun
they have a big stretch, and scratch up the chair
then sit in front of me, no blinking they stare
"Come on human, time for our feed"
Yep, I obey and bow to their need.

I got me a puller;
it works pretty well.
Convincing the wife was
a bit of a sell.
It’s not for the garden;
works best in the woods.
A think of real beauty
once it’s understood.
For pulling up shrubs,
it’s a gardener’s delight.
Just open those jaws
and clamp them real tight.
Then you pull back the sticks
real easy and nice,
and it’s rare that you’ll need
to tug on it twice.
Now, pulling small trees
is not quite as quick
‘cuz the trunk sometimes snaps
if the roots are too thick.
But you just use those jaws
and scratch up the ground;
Those stubborn old roots
will be quick coming ‘round.
But my toy really shines
on an oversized tree.
When that sucker comes down,
I’m a-shoutin’ with glee.
You set up behind it,
dig the roots on both sides,
give a push from the back,
watch it go for a ride.
Some trees, you’ll encircle
to bust all the roots;
they’re strong and they’re tough
and they work in cahoots.
But persistence will get it;
there’s a lot it can do.
Turns out an excavator
is a weed puller too.

Ziggy, wild at heart
His claws in everything including my fake furs
Scat! He’ll dart
Give him catnip
Now my happy kitty just purrs
A tip
for cats
that scratch up yurs
Keeps
Ziggy, wild at heart
My happy kitty just purrs and
Sleeps

Two lions in a pen
Upon Noah's ark
Wondering what the future holds
What adventure they must embark
A female and a male
Lying side by side
Thankful to the Almighty
Of all the world's lions
They were the chosen two
Now they will be the only ones
When GOD's holy plan is through
Beside the lion's pen
Two bears lay their head
On a fresh layer of hay
Where Noah made their bed
Waiting for the rain to stop
So the new world they can see
Walk along wooded paths
And scratch up against a tree
Replenish the Earth
Is what they were told
And pass down this story
To your cubs when you grow old
Forty days and forty nights
The rain did come down
Until the glorious day
Outside there was no sound
The time had finally come
To walk upon the Earth
Replenish our species
Give the world it's rebirth
