"Incomplete"
I drown in your love
there is another world
underneath
in the depths of your kiss
our minds meet
caressing along curves
silky blue
the satine currents
azure sky and storms
I see me
open and
reflected in you
tasting the rolling
rapture reaching
your crystalline bed
diving for pearls
you are
a coded parable
worth exploring
a fathomless ocean
with tides calling me
incomplete
unfathomable
your movements
inconsistent
consistently
immovable

You’ll see a spiral curl upon the brow
And on her cheeks a trailing rose
Beneath the trellis of a smile
Are seeds where sprouts of darkness fell
~
Her honey, wild, and pure with gold
Until the taste was tainted cold
In lonely rooms, pink roses slept
Where bedside shadows used and spent
~
The tears she wept so long ago
Now shuttered tight, where secrets hide
Against the dark, against the tide
Of shame which learned to shut an eye
~
How did it come to be this way?
Who stalked her, broke her, made her pay?
A broken childhood, piece by piece
No mercy for what might have been
~
A child, a lily in the bud
Her fear is gone, but not forgot
Redemption, now it matters not
Where true love dwells, is never sought
~
A tear upon the lash won’t fall
The garland once upon her dress
Is now tattooed upon her breast
She steals the breath, if once eyes rest
~
Satine, seductress of wanton depths
