This is the Winter Olympics
years of training for a shot.
The best in the world
will go over the top.
Gold, Silver, or bronze
fills only three spots.

the most dangerous ride.
Adrenaline is relevant
yet taken in stride.
Express an element
Acrobats of the sky.
Amplitude so Prevalent
for Gold they fly.
At the ski halfpipe

Ballerinas on how ice
how graceful they are.
They come for one thing
from near and far.
They skate to win Gold
and wish upon a star.

they spin a triple axel
on balance to land.
The edge of a salchow
goes back-to-back,
A Dance with your shadow
No Chance you will crash.

Not a more beautiful sight to see then two dancing on ice
holding each others hand while bowing to the crowd
Starting their harmonic swings with such grace and harmony
Then twirling and spinning with loop jumps through the air
Catching her with only inches to spare excitement to much to bear
The sake blades shaving the ice as they create a lutz loop
The edge jump salchow is continued then blended into Axel
While the wind from their speed blows their tassels though the air
With the score of nine all across the board winners they become
Figure Skating is their life a love for ice with beauty beyond compare
The strength and agility involved in preforming such moves while skating
Is underrated by watching the ease they display putting on this ice show
