A mother's love

A Mother's Love

You carried me for nine months and brought me in to the world,
You was overjoyed and excited when the doctor said " it's a girl",
You showered me with love and kisses as you held me in your arms,
You made it your upmost responsibility to protect and shield me from harm,
you gave me my bottle and rocked me to sleep,
Even though you couldn't sleep without me making a peep,
i gave you a run for your money but you made it through some how,
The loving mother you was then is the loving mother you are now,
I know raising a spoiled hypercontriact isn't easy at all,
Being the Energizer bunny I was I must have drove you up the wall,
But yet there was precious moments of playing with my toys while your giving me a bath,
Us dancing and singing doing funny things that made us laugh,
Growing up we didn't always see eye to eye we had our ups and downs,
But through it all we came to a understanding and no matter what you was always around,
Knowing I was one of three children you made it through some how,
The loving mother you was then is the loving mother you are now

Run

Multiple Meaning Word Twist Poem

Run

Don’t run away
because I’ll give you
a run for your money.

You act like you’re on
the run from the law.
How can you pretend
to love me when all
you do is RUN.

I feel like I’m in a
race, run, run, run
trying to catch you
as you move to
act in your next
Broadway run.

You left the engine
running outside your
other friend’s apartment.

You know the one.
She runs that business
you have to visit every
single day.

How do you know
I'm a runner for you
when I could be
racing to run for
another.

Like your dog
who runs about
chasing after you.

Another Day In the Makin

Griping and growling, the camp cook is up
I know that he was born with an attitude
No way one can slumber around here
Smelling the coffee boiling, I need a cup
Wide open spaces, kitchen is kind of crude
Three more hours before the Sun will appear

Roll a smoke and roll you bed
No longer time to snore
Shake the scorpions out of your boots
No counting the cob webs in your head
Do worry about closing the door
Tumbleweeds have shallow roots

Crazy cattle, wild broncs for the day
You just know they have been eating loco weed
A run for your money, make you grab the saddle horn
That is how you earn your pay
And the nature of the breed
In a pasture full of mesquite thorn

Supper will be around midnight
Hot cup of coffee and a cold biscuit
Come payday, maybe some bacon
Around a campfire light
Then you know that it is time to quit
For a cowboy, just another day in the making

Challenge

It seems you want a challenge; I’ll give you just that
If you plan on approaching me, please sir, remove your hat
Because when I give you a run for your money, I want to see your eyes
It’s easier to decipher if you’re filling me up with lies

Everything you expect of me, go ahead and throw it out the window
I’m not as innocent as you may think, occasionally I like sexual innuendos
I’m full of surprises, you never know what I may do next
And you won’t find the answers you need in any simple text

But if you will allow yourself to open up and be taken to explore
You won’t regret what you find; you may even keep wanting more
I will indulge you by fulfilling your desires whatever they may be
All I’m asking in return is for you to accept what I show you is ME
