Crossing the hoedown lines
Courteous men tilted hats
Country cowgirls in skirts
Corsets set on fire
Careening to music
Crystallography,... stop
Calm returns, silent floor.

P-addle your own canoe,
A-ugust nineteenth Saturday;
U-se your independence,
L-et your weakness fade away.
A-s you paddle your own canoe,
S-how the world that you can;
U-nder the wide blue sky,
N-ever ask help from any man.
C-rossing the running river
I-s your own breakthrough;
O-pen your mind to initiative,
N-ow paddle your own canoe.

D-reaming of a fine future
I-s living in your mind;
N-ineteenth April Wednesday
A-ims to let you unwind.
T-o dream the pleasant scene
I-s keeping you from nightmare;
B-elieve in the Almighty,
U-ntil you feel His care.
R-each the glorious goal,
C-rossing the seas and streams;
I-t's inspiring to think
O-f one of your dreams.

Wished once upon a star, I could not believe it, when
Out of the blue, I found myself on board the "The Arisen"
Ready to leave my toils and turmoil behind, ready to
Lower my guards and explore the world by crossing its seas,
Desiring solely to feel the exalt felt by sailors and seamen!
Crossing the limits of the oceans, my pulse quickened, as
Rogue waves pushed us in an oceanic whirlwind, as expansive as
Uranus himself, why, they tossed us in yet to be explored lands,
Instilling in the awe and the jolts we have never felt before, as
Seeing before us fairy tale characters and ancient Gods for real in
Essence caused us to descend from the ship, to embrace a new life!

W orking on the Precambrian rocks I traveled to Scotland
O n way to Edinburgh I crossed the undulating Highlands
R oad was serpentine, built on hanging rocks and debris
L ined by thick unbroken strands of birch and pine trees
D ressed in tartan skirt bagpipers on roadside played free.
C rossing the glen on foot I almost sank like in quicksand
R oaming in the moors the reindeers framed a sight grand
U nder a veil of mist the Loch Ness didn’t show its monster
I n a hurry I couldn’t have covered the whiskey trail faster
S cotch in dashes of small pegs went straight to my head
E nticing me to remember fondly the beauty of Scotland.

C-rossing in graceful stride
H-as amazed the eyes;
A-ttracted gazers see you,
R-emaining neath the sunrise.
L-ead the way in graceful stride,
E-agerly give your zeal;
N-ever lose your poise,
E-very step is a done deal.
A-llow your move to show
L-oveliness deep inside;
O-n the third of September,
G-o on in graceful stride.

R-ound trip travel teaches
U-s about life's reality;
B-eginning of a tour
E-nds where it started originally.
L-ife is a round trip travel,
Y-es, take-off is also arrival;
N-o liner shall not return to its own same terminal.
B-irth is the initial passage,
A-cross the sea of struggle;
L-ong or short cruising
I-s either turbulent or well.
D-ay twenty-two in July,
O-ne trek began from home;
Y-our expedition is certain even though you still roam.
C-rossing a specific border
A-nticipates similar destiny;
B-etween life and death,
R-ead as back and forth journey.
E-nd or final destination
R-eminds one so well;
O-nce you start a voyage,
S-ail a safe round trip travel.

Crossing those boundaries of yesterday, step into unknown.
As today is your birthright, burn with fervour; consume and rise.
Repetition is forbidden, etch out your story; time flies.
Past is shrivelling rose, let go, so it may nourish its own.
Enraptured, relish each moment like a French delicacy.
Desire is destiny, fickle as change is constant. There's just
Indecency of death, after which comes the stygian dearth.
Embrace that permanence, and drain every day of all its worth.
Man wasn't meant to be a slave of tomorrow, break free; you must!
