Ups and downs
We experience throughout the year
Down in the dump at one moment
And jump with joy at another
Feelings can be controlled by our emotions
Or the surrounding
Or the weather
Or simply out of control
The epidemic comes and goes on and off
Lingering
Hiding somewhere
Peeping and waiting
Causing prolonged sadness and depression
Restrictions on outings and dine-ins
Hindrance on business activities and intimate contacts
Wow what had happened to this world
Are we and our feelings going to be controlled by the virus
Signifying a war between man and the virus
Instead of a war between man and man
Man and the alien
Man and the other planet
A paradox to be solved indeed

The mockery of time
has never been in my favor.
The stars weigh me down.
They fell from the sky.
I am beyond the boundaries.
of time and space
But now I grasp things clearly.
As for me, no doubt
I am still willing to sacrifice.
my life for just one embrace
with it at my fingertips.

People are talking about
The new coronavirus Omicron
They ask whether doomsday is near
No one can answer
Can you
But surely a tough time is ahead
Travelling restrictions
Will be in full action
What happens
Worst than the share market's
Fluctuatration curve
What's more
Everyone may think of the outer space
The last escape
If not the heaven
If not a devoted prayer to gain
Confidence, courage and hope

A lazy day
No work waitng for you
No routine
No restrictions
You may not obey the time
No need to rush for breakfast
Traffic jams and crowds become nonsense
Breakfast become brunch
You may cook some maggie mee to start the day
And packaged food or canned food
For the rest of the day
Confined to a self lockdown
You stuck to the handphone or tv
And the world is at your finger tips
Day and night have no difference
The sun never rise and set untill tomorrow
Free of the mind and free of the soul
For one day only
And maybe a prayer for the world to go round
once more tomorrow

Sometimes restrictions made
Have to be let go
When profit is irresistible
When business is globalized
Sometimes restrictions made
Have to be let go
When rescue is wanted instantly
When life is more precious
Sometimes restrictions made by man
Have to be slackened by man
Just for a win-win-situation
Or for the sake of humanity
But oh my God
It should never be misused
For a conspiracy
An injustice treatment
An abuse of privilege
Or a touch of racism

Is boundless the supreme law?
Are bounds the everlasting flaws?
Zero and infinity give notion of incompleteness.
Both exhibit the character of Limitlessness.
Both question the idea of closeness.
Who said zero means nothing?
Does infinity imply everything?
Why both question the idea of exactness?
Yes, they are consistent with nature.
Zero and infinity have selfpoised dignity,
Since long attracts both science and Spirituality.
Zero and infinity question the sequence of events.
Still are mysterious like hell and heaven.
Will the mysteries see a unlock?
Or will find a tragic deadlock,
Will they lose their glory?
Or else remain unsolved in Nature's diary.

Been to the gates,
of heaven about three times now;
but, I cannot remember the year or dates,
except entry- St. Pete did not allow.
Of course, I was left with deep scars and inflictions,
and have spent many hours with thought and predictions;
deciding that I will live within my restrictions,
and will embrace all that awaits.

It's been difficult for us all
Being restricted isn't cool
Especially for children
Who would rather be at school
You can do this
But you can't do that
You can't touch or cuddle
Or even pat
The dog looks grumpy
The cat forlorn
Dad's in the garden
Mowing the lawn
Mum's in the kitchen
Baking away
It seems since the pandemic
She's baked every day
The kids are getting bored
With all their indoor games
They have started to call
Each other rude names
Mum is horrified
Dad is amused
That was short-lived
The telly blew a fuse
"Why can't we have the telly on,
It's all gone black."
Mum went very pale and wan
And fell on her back
The baby started screaming
She needed her bottle
Dad took a long look round
To find something to throttle
Mum recovered
From her touch of vapours
Dad started to tidy up
The toys and the papers
The kids resumed their fighting
One accidentally thrust his knee
Smack, Bang, Wallop
Whacking the blank TV
Suddenly another noise
A very different sound
The children, both girls and boys
Got up off the ground
Dad smiled at Mum
She smiled back at Dad with glee
Miracle of Miracles
On came the TV
