Prostate Blues

In the darkened hours
plagued by an urgency,
do rise for the occasion
for it is time to pee.

Stumble back to slumber
a chance to get some rest,
when nature remits the signal
again, as if in jest.

This ritual repeats, now nightly,
for some not breaking news,
to those who are familiar
you know the prostate blues.

Starlight and Dewdrops

Fictitious dreaming
those voices call
Imagined bliss
where ghosts enthrall

Enigma fashioned
bespoke to fit
Fantasia moments
—belief remits

Premium MemberIndulgences

An indulgence is the remission in whole or in part of the temporal punishment due to sin

An indulgence is not a pardon of sin, nor a license to commit sin, and one who is in state of mortal sin cannot gain an indulgence

There are 2 kinds of Indulgenses- Plenary and Partial

A Plenary indulgence is the remission of the temporal punishment due to sin

Partial indulgence is the remission of a part of temporal punishment due to sin

The Church by means of indulgences remits the temporal punishment due to sin by applying to us the merits of Jesus Christ, and thesuperabundant satisfactions of the Blessed Virgin Mother Mary and the saints; which merits and satisfactions are its spiritual treasury

To gain indulgence we must be in the state of grace and perform the works enjoined

Premium MemberThe Sacrament of Penance Or Confession

The Sacrament of Penance (Confession) is a Sacrament in which the sins committed after Baptism are forgiven

The Sacrament of Penance or Confession remits sins and restore the friendship of God to the soul by means of the absolution of the priest

I know the priest has power of absolving from the sins committed after Baptism, because Jesus Christ granted the power to the priests of His Church when He said: “Received ye the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them, whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.”

The priest of the Church exercise the power of forgiving sins by hearing a confession of sins, and granting pardon for them as ministers of God and in His name.

To receive the sacrament worthily, we must do 5 things:

•	We must examine our conscience (Write down your sins committed not to forget them)
•	We must have sorrow for our sins
•	We must make a firm absolution never more to offend God
•	We must confess our sins to the priest
•	We must accept the penance which the priest given us

The examination of conscience we should pray to God to give us light to know our sins and grace to detest them.

Premium MemberDon'T Overthink It

Each of us live for the moment
As none are promised time
Not knowing which is our last
We make choices with that in mind

In life we bathe in beauty
Often to drown in sorrow
Paying the price with our tears
From troubles earned and borrowed

Immensely exaggerated caricatures
Overthought problems become distorted
Examining both sides of an issue
Inclinations can be easily supported

Of all of the powers we're given
Choice being the most distinct
Overthinking a problem is time wasted
Be objective but succinct

Every choice will lead to another
But our time quickly remits
The objective is to have a lot of fun
And leave little time to regret it

Premium MemberContrition

We need sorrow for our sins
Means turning away from evil and turning to Eternal God
Sins may be mortal or venial sins
Mortal is gravely sins
Venial is daily that pertain 7 Deadly Sins
Perfect Contrition arises from the love of Eternal God
This loving sorrow remits venial sin or mortal sins

Poverty

POVERTY.
Behold, we all own
Ink and leaf,
Translate all your leafs.
Progress is knowledge,
Dedication elevation.
Poverty remits
Illiteracy, stagnation and
Shame.
What then do I print
On my leaf?
I beg for rain to wet
My grains
So I can gain.
I am sure my Creator
Would make me elevate.
                                                                                                             AKEWUSOLA HABIB.

Walking Papers

The ruling, wiling format
accustomed to its mitt,
concerned with daily door mats
to will their lifeless wit!

The cloister of content staff
all theirs, all ours, all kit
Ne're once restricting floor mats
approval as their gift!

Enhance no me're adjournment
I am not here to flit,
the truth in essay's crow spat
is sameness, sameness, spit!

And so, grave not my gross craft
that essay of de script
the truth in escrow's culled hat
remit, remit, remits!

The same old story's lulled shaft
continuations rift
to fill, to write, a form in
relating to its shift!

This labor's just a bore-in
remove me from the raft
my walk away just score in
I owe you only that!!!
