EVIL SHADOW
I have once seen an evil shadow
Looming over me, everywhere I go
It grins when darkness taint my mind
Rejoice when I lost what I did seek to find
Does it dwell within me?
I completely have no idea
But sometimes I feel it was
Choking my breath, seeping into my lungs.
One fateful day, I dared to confront it.
"Oh sinister friend, reveal yourself and speak.
Come, sit and share your vile secrets."
But it never emerged from the gloom.
Pathetic, you can't even face your own reflection.
Where is the menace you once wielded?
Where is the dread you commanded?
Here’s a toast to forever hold your peace.
