A Partner in Focus

Concentrate, regenerate.
Your smile, sharp, distracting pulls me from the page.
I’m trying to focus and keep my mind steady,
but is there a reason you sit near me,
smiling like you’ve seen something worth noticing?

You like every post I share,
but your eyes, the way they hold me,
say more than words ever could.
Beauty is skin deep, they say,
but you are something else
a mind sharper than diamonds,
a focus forged from ambition.

Two jobs, late nights, and early lectures
you move like someone who refuses to let the world define her.
And yet, here you are, looking at me
as though we could be more than classmates,
as though you already see something I can’t name.

Three more years, I tell myself.
Three more years to stay the course,
to match the kind of focus you wear so easily.
But somewhere in the chaos of ambition and dreams,
I wonder are we already writing our story?
