Ungraceful World

A star cries to be seen
Clouds pray to be torn from the sky
One chance to be on the ground
While a broken sparrow weeps
One more chance to be free from the earth
A wave may gather strength
But will never meet the shore
Silk strands torn by an apathetic wind
Leaving a lonely spider without a home
A tree finally breaks through the concrete
But only grows so far in its pride, then chokes to its death
Once a great mansion of a great man
Wastes away as it follows its master into the grave
Becoming a pile of indistinct nothingness
Such an ungraceful world is this
