Before we go our separate ways
We smile and say good night
You sang me through the midnight haze
And in the morning light
I feel another gentle kiss
I see you smile and vape
That’s how it was, how it still is
Saved on the record tape
But it’s a different story now
When two of us are one
You are within me, undertow
So what have we become?
Or better I shall ask the air
What has become of us?
It whispers that you are still there
Where I have seen you last..
