Transparencies

Cherries gleam ruby red
in a white porcelain bowl.

The observed looks back at you,
we are the experience we experience.

White horse in a snowy field,
red fox at sunset,
a bubble between
two pink baby lips.

Meaning does not describe itself,
we are self-portraits,
but where is that self?
