Sustainer of Life

“Look at the rain long enough with no thoughts in your head, and you gradually feel your body falling loose, shaking free of the world of reality. Rain has the power to hypnotize.” by Haruki Murakami
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From the heavens, I descend, on the parched earth, my grace I spread; A gift from the skies, I’m rain, divine, bestowing life and a love uniquely mine. I quench the thirst of the land below, nurturing seedlings, helping them grow; As I caress the leaves of the trees, I offer them solace, a moment’s ease. I’m the sustainer of life, you see, a friend to the rivers, the lakes, the sea; To the oceans, I return, as vapor I rise, a cycle of life, a bond that never dies.
