Happy Birthday To Sam Kauffman

[Capitalized words are titles of some delightful poems by Sam
Kauffman, each followed by a line from that poem]

How Can This Be - a thousand pieces of brokenness, fit perfectly again
Agapanthus - the season's sweet love letter, dainty flowers of azure or white
Psalm Of Joy - then witness life return from a stony grave
Poetry Is - poetry wears the words of smiles and tears
Yosemite's Ephemeral Autumn Falls - autumn's gossamer Bridal Veil

Black Opal - unrestrained fiery infatuation of effervescent excitement
Itch, Twitch, Glitch, Witch - my arms are just too short to reach this little itch
Redeeming Faith - steps out on ledges where we fear to go
Thanksgiving Blessings - a grace note in soaring gratitude
Hannah's Plea - a bonding of spirits joins our hands as mother and son
Dance Party In Summer - meadows slowly waltz, forests polka with raindrops
And We Call It - sprinkles, drizzles, mists and downpours; RAIN!
You Were There - refreshed by hope splashing as a sparkling fountain

The Language of Blue - muted voices in sapphire soprano rhapsodies
Oceana - to cover up her turquoise evening gown with capes of fog so thick

Skeletons Of Lace - autumn's leaves decorate lanes with discarded artistry
Abigail's Spring - sun starved shadow, warming the winter's wildness
Mindful - tingling in the presence of every dappled infinite breath

Keeper of Wishes - I hold your wishes close, a nebula bouquet
Acorn - tiny child born of my desire to encourage a new life
Underneath a Moonlit Sky - celestial sisters point to a guiding star
For My Children - a secret hidden, a joy to hear at the dawn of your life
Fragile Rose - breath of moonlight's silver shadows teeming
Music - Notes of music falling flat upon their sharps
Agape - reflecting the sunrise of heaven, flowing from Agape
Nova - mountain stars, give me your dreams, diamonds that twinkle
                to wear for a ring
