Making Steamboat Tom Mad
Whatever you do don’t make Tom mad
He is the meanest at the convention a real cad
I had been to Steamboat conventions lots before
Which one is he? I asked my sister De La More.
The one with the club foot, he is a bad ass cat.
I stared at him then he was virile, kind of phat.
I think I will be his friend, I said that soft June day.
I wandered by him and said “hidey hey!’
I am big and grouchy and mean, he said.
I gave him a quick look and threw back my head.
Laughing a donkey’s laugh, that almost never would end.
From that minute, that day, he became a very fast friend.
