                                       On a Full Moon Night

Late on a dull summer night
                                    Strolling along a rough lane
With a full moon guiding his way around,
Beams of joy spilled from the heart of a man
As the gilded moonlight twinkled on leaves
                                     Outlining a work of art
                                 That no man could emulate.
At the very peak of a full moon night
Ghosts are known to dance in secure circles
                            To intimate their eerie enchantment
                                 Amidst baleful beats of stars
                                And ghastly chirps of crickets.
Sunk in such snaky thoughts, the man strolled on
Along tortuous lanes and past a bridge
When of sudden his attention was drawn
To a figure in dark grey
                                   Trailing his path with caution.
The man asked the stranger with fright and fear:
“Who are you my friend to follow my path?
Are you to me someone quite near and dear?”
“I am your full moon shadow,”
                                         Replied the trailing fellow.
