she shunned me today
I opened up to this friend my soul
Establishing trust was my ultimate goal
she treated me worse than a sliver of coal
to me serious comeuppance she did dole
do I trust her again with my open heart?
Betrayal has split us up, torn us apart.
To say she was a traitor is a bit of a start.
Sharing my confidence was a bulleting dart.
I used to think she was a super good friend.
But this violation was more than a slight bend.
Our friendship is broken, maybe it should end.
Unfortunately, I remember she used to be a good friend.
I decided to talk to her, but she shunned me away.
I guess this is more than a hint that I needed today.
My heart felt such sadness, on this unhappy Wednesday.
But I knew enough to leave, as she walked away.
