The Melancholy Skies
The premise of the rebel,
to counter the status quo.
To stir the political pot,
overlooked things to know.
Without some bona fide cause,
he must tread on that far fringe.
Through all his melodramas,
and never to come unhinged.
He may be asked to explain,
about his solemn vision.
To make his firey claims,
and reverse their decision.
For the classic underdog,
is held by the common man.
As one of their mirrored friends,
in need of a helping hand.
For the rebel, he stands alone,
to meet with unblinking eyes.
The pale hues of the sunset,
and the melancholy skies!
