Stillness
Rest of the heart, mind, and soul;
It's what I need most as I grow old.
As a retiree, I have rest of the body.
Most of my daily doings is not a duty.
Generally, I can stay or go at will;
But it's another matter in being still.
God says to be still and know that He is God.
That requires stepping away from the familiar trod.
Greater quests are what I must seek and find.
Calm, poise, silence, stillness. Now is the time.
