Luxe
And all the world is aglitter,
Bedecked in glamour’s lurid sheen,
Hearts fluttered by Mammon’s bluster,
Minds by vanity daily preened.
Shiny leather grants borrowed fame,
Flashlights blitz for the high-gloss game,
Brittle egos puffed to the seams,
Drab nights buffed by caviar dreams.
Bidding wars rage for high price tags,
Wallets open to sprinkle gold,
The comfort of a purchased glow,
Soothes all anxiety attacks.
Few know life’s greatest luxury,
Is fleeing money’s forgery.
