Le filigrane violet - Marc Chagall

you can't resist my skin
      let me fall into my
                                 feminity
               we're all saved there
    as I morph
to delicate sirenesque of the sky
you make choices
  to be there
             I sail guilt free
as you
   you lure me
            from my mind
want me to change form for you
           any sense
       of danger imperceptible
             orchestrating moments
        that occupy my dream world
           indistinguishable
             from lullabies
      the noise through the haze
partially wakes me
        but I'm too drawn in
     too invested
          what if when... shh...
    swoop and soar into forevers
how gentle and tender is... now
        averted eyes don't see
        faces hidden by flowers
                 soothed and peaceful
             as I'm talked to softly
               hypnotized state almost steady
   I wake too soon
see the out of place pieces
eventually I'll be unresponsive
   to snapped fingers
what if... I open my eyes
fall from skies
illusion dies
denies
  denies
denies
   that I ever glimpsed
through disguise
