One day we live, love, and die, in a labyrinth of illusions and lies

One day we live, love, and die, in a labyrinth of illusions and lies,
Each waits, without time to choose among the shadows that creep in,
Truth wanders like a lost echo through the crumpled pages of the world,
Despair feeds on deep silences, like a bottomless well.
One day we give new names to old thoughts, like a ritual of silent transformation,
One day life tests us with all its shades, defying our balance,
One day we are both feast and waste, a spectacle of endless extremes,
One day reconciliation remains an impossible desire, an unfulfilled dream.
One day beggars and the very rich sit at the same table of merciless destiny,
At the gate of night, hopes and fears knock louder, demanding answers,
One day all are untethered, like puppets without strings,
Through darkness or sunlight, we seek our path among stars and mud.
Closer to darkness or to the sun, to the mire or the high sky,
What astonishing event still pains us, what deceitful games still call us?
We pause for a moment and seek answers in the depths of the heart,
For whom or to whom have we lied in this race towards the light?
Lives lived on the edge of a knife, with measured steps between dream and reality,
We search for our way through a universe of contradictions and unspoken questions,
Closer to darkness or to the sun, we find ourselves in every shadow,
One day, when all settles, perhaps we will find the simple, clear answer.
