Dying and Still Difficult
A nurse with near exhausted patience
Trying to fix back a dislodged needle:
An order from her fought clear conscience,
When she could task stop to just tweedle;
She’d spent all her purposed munificence
And nursed patient stuck to her fiddle.
Nicely, diligence rules atmosphere,
It being a stark life-and-death affair
But Thunder is in Ionosphere
And Satan in nearer Troposphere!
Thirty-Six year back he did her wed,
Who now sat on a watcher’s free bed:
Husband had glimpsed final curtain fall,
Wife leaving him to their joint-rolled ball;
Last son not sure he would still grow tall
Or ringing phone pick and it’s her call.
