Dandelions
Many lawns are dotted
With these yellow tufts of gold
And all my life, “They’re ugly weeds!”
Is what I have been told.
Yet dandelions add some pop
Of color to the green
And though they are invasive,
Add some beauty to the scene.
A gardener will argue
That they simply don’t belong,
But since I have no garden,
Such a statement just seems wrong.
