Lost in Thought
I've had my moments
Scattered over decades
Imperceptible as special
Until never repeated
I forego new moments
To be lost in old ones
To find an old version of self or time
See it shine in a way that wasn't true
Focus removes the tainted periphery
"Ahh a piece of string, I remember it
This string is special to me"
~ Finding meaning is special to me ~
For I've not always been this way
Times haven't always been hard
My mind offers up my Nanna's 'Blackpool shoes'
Bought because her feet hurt & they saved the day
I remember her finding them again
Sharing the moment
I'm there, with a pair of sandals & a truly happy face
